From poetry to personal essays, this anthology responds to anti-immigrant terror with people’s authentic perspectives of survival and hope. The collection is curated by Jen Cheng and Camille Hernandez, two Poets Laureate and daughters of immigrants from Los Angeles and Orange County.
This anthology has themes of resilience, migration, lineage, protection, grassroots education. It also shares priorities of activism, and voices from the frontlines (public school teachers, direct social service providers, and others serving at-risk populations). By featuring views from a wide variety of activists to immigration experts, this anthology provides a critical view to shape the future remembrance of this time.
Award-winning contributors include: Sonia Guiñansaca, Yash Bhutada, Jean Trinh, José Rios, Nancy Lynée Woo, among others.
Meet Co-editors Camille Hernandez and Jen Cheng at their events in Los Angeles County and Orange County in California.
